Contrast Strap Top with Embroidery

Date night should be a special night, and I think it calls for special outfits. This contrast strap top with embroidery is so sweet and a little modern, and perfect for a night out. It works well with skinny jeans, jean skirts, or even casual with cut offs. I wore it with my favorite black skinny jeans that are high waist and so comfortable. They are one of my closet staples and you can find them here. Stay tuned for a special offer for Rocksbox.com, which is where I found the pretty pieces I have on!

I love how flattering this top fits. The ruffle is so cute and the contrast straps add a little edge. The embroidery is flat out adorable. At $15.99, it’s a great addition to your lotn (‘look of the night’) arsenal.

These sandals have awesome lacing with a little braiding detail. The stacked heel makes them mostly comfortable, and they have a zipper on the back so you don’t lace them up every time you put them on. My bag usually goes out with me. It’s the perfect quilted handbag and I am a huge fan of the all black detail. My jewelry is from Rocksbox. This bracelet is my favorite summer piece and reminds me of a mermaid with it’s gorgeous blueish aqua stone. My necklace is the prettiest dainty choker. I received both in my Rocksbox set. It’s a monthly subscription and for $19 (or one month FREE with code ‘DONTDRESSLIKEAMOMXOXO’)  you get three pieces of jewelry to try. You can keep one, two, or all three pieces and get $21 off your purchase each month, or send them all back and get three new pieces to try. I love making a wishlist of jewelry I want to try as well as getting surprised by the picks from my stylist. It’s such a fun service!

I really love this look for date night, a concert, or stepping out for lunch. The top is so cute and perfect for warm summer days. You can find shoppable links to all the items below, plus lots of shoe options including budget friendly finds!

Harem Jumpsuit

I’ve been on the jumpsuit train for a while. When something is a one-piece, feels like pajamas, and requires about a minute of thought to put on, I’m completely sold. This gorgeous harem jumpsuit is comfortable, cool and everthing I want in a summer outfit. The lightweight fabric makes it suitable for even the hottest of days. It comes in this beautiful rust color as well as black. The tassel ties are an added bonus and tie the whole thing together…I guess literally.

It has a halter neck, which is flattering on just about everyone. It highlights collar bones and shoulders. I love the drapey feel and how it is just easy breezy. Pair it with a jean jacket and you’re set for the farmer’s market, park or even date night.

I added these cute gold gladiators. They are under $20, and if you have a mini, they have a similar pair. As excited as I get about matching my daughter, she is equally as fired up. I’ve linked everything for easy shopping. If you don’t have a jumpsuit NOW IS THE TIME! Find several cute + comfy versions below.

Embroidered Peplum Top

I always have my eye out for fun tops that add pops of color to outfits. This cute embroidered peplum top does just that. It has such pretty embroidery with a classic black background. You can pair it with just about anything from high rise jeans to shorts to denim skirts, or even dress it up with ponte pants.

How fun is all the detail? From the gorgeous colors, to the polka dot background, it has a lot going on. I love the flattering peplum and sheer top layer. It’s perfect for summer nights, especially paired with some cute sandals. My sandals are such great basics, with a sweet tie back. They also come in gray, olive green and red. I love to pair them with jeans and sundresses.

What I love most about this outfit is the comfort factor. Nothing is better than a great fitting pair of jeans with a cute, un-basic top for a night out + everything is at such a good price point. My top is $30 and these gorgeous sandals are under $33. For a non-heeled option, you can pair flat bow slides. I’ve linked my favorite pair that gets compliments every single time I wear them. I’ve also provided budget denim as well as some classic Levi’s. Cheers to summer weather!
