Gingham and Ruffles

I’m making changes…to my closet. Over the next year, I plan on shifting my focus to more basics and items I will get a lot of use out of, trimming the excess. This does not mean boring. Basics do not have to be humdrum and this whole idea excess excites me. Basics are pieces you will wear over and over again, dressy or casual, everyday. My only caveat is the shoe department. I will not give up my love of shoes, and my love for finding perfect pairs.Read More

Thanksgiving Day Outfits

I really should have named this post ‘Thanksgiving Weekend Outfits,’ but we will go with Thanksgiving Day Outfits because the dinner is the main attraction. If you shop small on Saturday, have a friendsgiving get together, or just hang out with family the whole time, these looks are for you. I have mapped out casual to dressy, and all are comfortable and hide food babies. I think we can all high five (high ten) on that one. And the jewelry! Each piece is under $13, but totally statement worthy.Read More

Romper + Kicks

This romper + kicks look is the ultimate in luxe for less and luxe in terms of soft. When I tried on the adorable romper I thought “did I grab this from the pajama section?” It’s so comfortable, it seems like it should be reserved for sleeping, but no – it’s a daytime romper, perfect for summer days, trips to the pool, and time at the park.Read More

Thred Up April Insta-Gal

I was so happy to be chosen as a Thred UP April Insta-gal because Thred Up takes all the thrill of resale shopping (i.e. treasure hunting) and puts it into the comfort of your own home. I settled in and searched for my favorite brand names like Trina Turk, Free People and Diane Von Furstenberg, at deeply discounted prices (think 78% off! DVF for 78% off!). I found the loveliest Trina Turk dress that made me giddy, for less than $60. That is 80% off retail and it is in like new condition.Read More

Comfy Gray Tunic Sweater

Gray Tunic Sweater

I’m obsessed with sweaters – currently this soft gray tunic sweater – because the weather was warm for so long. I had to keep my knits stored away until recently. A gray tunic sweater is a perfect pullover on cold mornings. I paired mine with a gray henley tank and gray jeans for a monotone look that’s anything but basic.Read More

LBD with ruffles + Rebecca Minkoff bag

When I find a flattering little black dress, I don’t hesitate. I take it home. It’s something I will wear, most likely multiple times, and it will always look classic and chic. This version is sweet, comfy, perfect for every season and inexpensive. Which brings me to my bag, which is not cheap, but made a little more reasonable with the fact my dress is under $20. Off the Shoulder Stripes and Bells + rocks box special offer

img_9702

This dress combines two of my current favorites – stripes and bell sleeves. It is super soft, stretchy and comfy for everyday, but can be dressed up too. I added a faux suede/fur vest for fall weather and linked some similar options (this version is from last season).Read More

Wardrobe Staple: Striped Dress

FullSizeRender_3.jpg

We all want a comfy cozy dress that can be dressed up or down, layered, and not too revealing for everyday. I found mine at H&M for $24.99. It’s slightly ribbed and super soft. I want to wear it all. the. time.

I almost want to buy two in case anything happens to the one I have (dogs, children, etc. can do a real number on your wardrobe). I paired it with a faux fur winter white vest and I’m ready to go. Ciao!
