Daily Look Personal Styling

I think we all have the fantasy of having a personal stylist – someone who knows trends, how to put together outfits, and how to fill your closet with key pieces so you always have something to wear. I recently had the opportunity to try Daily Look, a subscription stylist box, and let me tell you, it was like having my own personal stylist. Each month, you are sent pieces selected just for you for a $40 fee, and you can use that fee towards any items you purchase.

The easy process starts with a fun fashion quiz. You fill out a short questionnaire about what styles you typically love (think boho, preppy, or edgy), things you may need, and what you wear on a daily basis. Your stylist gets this info and starts to select pieces for you. You can also special request outfits for a night out, or if you are looking for a job, you can ask for more tailored pieces. When the blue box arrived at my door from Daily Look, I felt like I was getting a luxury gift – tons of chic clothes to try on and see what I like. With the styling fee, I had at least $40 to use towards something I just couldn’t part with.

Right away I saw a few of my favorite brands – Velvet by Graham and Spencer, After Market, Stateside, and Travis. They also have a private label, DL, made up of basics like an amazing cold shoulder tee. My experience was awesome – and I have to admit, I was skeptical. I LOVE shopping. For me, heading out to a store is therapeutic and I enjoy searching for items that call my name. I wasn’t sure receiving hand selected items from a stylist was for me, but I can tell you this – I was wrong. Daily Look is like having a store come to you, and since I usually have two small children orbiting me, this is amazing. You are given a whole variety of pieces to try out. While my kids were playing with trains, I had a lot of fun turning my bedroom into a dressing room. I was surprised how all the items fit – my stylist knew which items to send in which sizes, based on how brands run. This fact made it difficult to choose which items I wanted to keep, because all the pieces were fantastic and reasonably priced. There was also a range of casual to dressy items, and lots to mix and match.

Now on to my favorites, which quite honestly, was the whole box. BUT, since I can only keep so many things, here is what I couldn’t live without. This black and ivory asymmetrical dress from Olivia Gray, because it fit SO GOOD.

I am in love with Velvet by Graham and Spencer. Everything they make is soft and comfortable. The cotton Celeste top (I even love the name) is so super luxurious, but casual and perfect for momming. I love it with jeans and shorts, or white linen pants after the pool or beach.

I love this cold shoulder top in burgundy from After Market. I can wear it dressy with a skirt (this one is from Olivia Gray), or I can pair it with jeans and heels for night out. It’s versatile and will work in any season.

Once I decided on my favorites, I packaged up the items I was sending back, used the prepaid return label, and dropped the box at my UPS store. You can also schedule a pick up. The whole process was easy, and I have some great new items for spring. I will be wearing the Velvet striped cotton top all summer (I am currently wearing it because it is 70 degrees today!!), the dress will go out for summer dinners, the cold shoulder top will pair with my distressed jeans for chillier date nights, and the skirt is just a great basic that I know will get a ton of use.

I highly recommend this service if you want to work with a stylist and don’t want the hassle of heading to a huge store. If you love to shop, you will really enjoy getting a huge box of goodies in the mail to try on. Alternatively, if you don’t love to shop, but your wardrobe needs a little pick me up and you want in on some of the latest trends and how to wear them, Daily Look is 100% for you.To try out Daily Look, head here and use code ‘GETSTYLED10’ to get $10 off your styling fee!
