It’s been a really busy March – so it’s not just the weather that comes in like a lion. I am so excited to share my current favorites – items that I have recently found, and have been loving. I’ll start with the watch that’s been motivating me to get moving.
Misfit Vapor – this is a completely awesome smartwatch that you can connect to your iPhone or android. It tracks steps, workouts, calories, can tell you the weather and alert you to messages and calls. It even has storage for music. You can run, walk, and even swim with this device. I’ve been using it to track my daily steps – something my doctor recommended, just to see how active I am. With two kids and two dogs, I had no idea how much activity I was getting per day. With Misfit, I am able to see just how much I’m moving, and on days when I’m feeling a little lazy, it’s completely motivating. “Just 1000 more steps to my goal!” and it gets me up and going. It’s fairly easy to use – I’d say after the first few days I was really getting into a good groove with it. I love the rose gold and the overall sleek design, but there are lots of options to choose from and the Misfit is more affordable than some other smart watches.
Love My Sway Deodorant – I have been searching for an all-natural, aluminum-free deodorant. I hate the idea of putting chemicals on my body, especially on areas where we have pores and where you know those chemicals might be absorbed. BUT, every natural deodorant I tried just didn’t work and it drove me crazy, and right back to the chemical laden stuff. Enter Love My Sway. It’s actually a detox, two step system. I love it. You begin with the natural roll-on that has ingredients like apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, rose water and aloe vera juice. These ingredients work to restore your skins PH balance and exfoliates, which means less bacteria and less stink. It’s clean and pure feeling. Once you apply the roll on, you wait 60 seconds and apply the dusting powder – which helps to absorb sweat and keep you fresh. I have been using the product for more than a week, and I’ve never felt better under my arms. It’s such a goofy thing to talk about, but it’s so important to me to find natural products.
Rose Gold Nail Polish – This Essie color is perfect for spring. It’s bright, metallic, a little glam, and reminds me of a super pretty easter egg. We look at our hands all day – they should be all dressed up, too.
Matching Mommy and Me Sandals – Not only are these sandals super comfy, but they are completely adorable on little tootsies and mama tootsies. They are currently buy one get one 50% off, and also come in blush. Women’s sizes are $23 and for little girl they are under $17.
Microdermabrasion – I recently had a facial with results I’ve never experienced before, all thanks to microdermabrasion. Tiny crystals, or as the spa liked to say “diamonds,” are sprayed onto the skin. This process gently removes the outer most layer of your skin – the old, yucky stuff that needs to be removed. It’s a technique that is far less aggressive than dermabrasion. It did not hurt, and simply felt like a little suction cup going around my décolletage and face. It’s a great form of exfoliation that left my skin incredibly smooth and glowing. I received compliments on the way my skin looked and I could tell a huge difference. You can get this process done at a spa or purchase your own tool to do at home.
Stila Highlighter – I prefer creams over powders, so I was really excited to find this highlighter – many are powders, and I don’t love the way they settle on my skin. So enter this Stila cream version. I have it in two shades, and it comes in three. It goes on super smooth and gives you a beautiful glow. I apply it where I put blush, and you can even apply to shoulders and décolletage. Just use a brush that you would use for wet foundation, and you’ll have some gorgeous glowing skin.
If you’re heading somewhere warm for spring break, I’m jealous and hope you have a wonderful time. If your staying home like me, treat yourself to a microdermabrasion facial and paint your toes with some beautiful metallic polish. I’ve linked my favorites for you below!
