With the warm weather we’ve been having this month, I’m just not able to wear my fall wardrobe, and I’m kind of OK with it. It’s easy to get over putting my booties in the closet and holding off on flannel when I have a happy mail day and receive this stunner of a dress (and consequently play dress-up). It’s a gorgeous periwinkle lace with a side cut out – in a perfect spot mind you – that works. I’ve tried cut out dresses and been so disappointed, but this dress has got it right and it’s completely flattering. You’ll never believe the price…
My initial thought was to pair it with nude sandals. It’s the easiest and my go-to shoe with pastels. But seeing as how we are in fall (contrary to Mother Nature’s ideas), I decided some black would help make it more season appropriate. This black drapey jacket is a favorite and I’ve linked similar coats. I wear it ALL THE TIME in the fall, winter and spring. It helps add edge and have you ever heard the song leather and lace? It’s a song about masculinity and femininity. The leather lends a laid back feel to ultra-feminine detail. The lace is such a pretty pattern and I love the keyhole back with a gold zipper. Perfection.
I have a destination this winter, and this dress is high on my list of what to wear. It runs true to size and to reiterate, the cut outs are in perfect spots! You can find the dress here, and all other outfit pieces are linked below.
