Everyone is excited for fall – whether it be the newness of a school year, the promise of apple pie, or the yearn for fall layering, the thrill is the same. I’m looking forward to putting on my booties, jeans, and new fall layering pieces. Bring on the chilly days!

What has me really looking forward to a non-humid morning is this coat – under $27 and a beautiful latte color. It can easily take me from school drop off to errands galore, or to the office and dinner. I love how light-weight it is (because let’s face it, I’m not quite ready for fleece and down-feather), and how I can create a perfect silhouette for breezy fall days. The belted waist cinches everything in while the oversized lapel is ruffly but not overdone. Chic and modern done right.

Pairing it with distressed jeans is only the beginning. I can’t wait to layer it on top of all-white or all-black (think a body-con dress), or with a simple pair of skinny jeans.
