Pumpkin Floral Centerpiece

I don’t love pumpkin spice, but I love this pumpkin floral centerpiece (and everything fall, except pumpkin spice). It’s easy to craft and most of the things you need for this project are on sale. You can do same day delivery or curbside pick-up at Michaels! It also lasts for years since we are using a faux pumpkin and faux flowers.

Let’s talk about options – there are so many colors to choose from. You can get an orange pumpkin and use fall colors, go all white with some muted greens, or go Halloween-y (it’s a word) with a white pumpkin and black flowers. A black pumpkin could look creepy with black and purple flowers. Use whatever flowers speak to you! If you prefer fresh floral, you can easily make this from a real pumpkin – the princess variety. Just place a short round vase and tape off the top in a criss cross pattern, add water and stems. Keep reading for step by step instructions and links to all the products you need. This project takes about 30-60 minutes and you do not need to be a floral arrangement whiz.

Step 1: Cut a hole in the top of the craft pumpkin with a knife. I found this a bit challenging, but it worked. If you have a mini electric saw, that may work better.

Step 2: With hot glue gun, add floral sponge to the bottom of the pumpkin.

Step 3: Cut down blooms while arranging in pumpkin. I like to add the florals first, then eucalyptus or any greenery.

Step 4: Glue together any stems, flowers, or greenery that you want in a certain position.
