One of my favorite things to do is visit cute downtown villages in Michigan. They have old school charm, friendly people, and unique small shops. Downtown Lake Orion was so fun to explore on a Sunday date. It’s a quaint spot that reminds me of Northern Michigan without the 4/5 hour drive.Read More

Gingham and Ruffles
I’m making changes…to my closet. Over the next year, I plan on shifting my focus to more basics and items I will get a lot of use out of, trimming the excess. This does not mean boring. Basics do not have to be humdrum and this whole idea excess excites me. Basics are pieces you will wear over and over again, dressy or casual, everyday. My only caveat is the shoe department. I will not give up my love of shoes, and my love for finding perfect pairs.Read More

Blue Velvet Dress

One Shoulder Fuzzy Knit
This was a stop the presses kind of sweater. I saw it and fell in love immediately – the one shoulder, fuzzy knit and pearl embellishments won me over. It’s flattering, comfortable and perfect for either a night out or a casual day in. I paired it with high waist black skinny jeans, a beret, and my vegan black bag.Read More
Contrast Strap Top with Embroidery
Date night should be a special night, and I think it calls for special outfits. This contrast strap top with embroidery is so sweet and a little modern, and perfect for a night out. It works well with skinny jeans, jean skirts, or even casual with cut offs. I wore it with my favorite black skinny jeans that are high waist and so comfortable. They are one of my closet staples and you can find them here. Stay tuned for a special offer for Rocksbox.com, which is where I found the pretty pieces I have on!Read More
Cold Shoulder Ruffle Sweater
Lace and Bell Sleeves
This little pink dress is so sweet, gorgeous and perfect for Valentine’s Day – the sweetest holiday of them all. With gorgeous lace and bell sleeves, it fits the day perfectly, but also works for bridal and baby showers, easter, brunch with friends, and so many more events. The best part is it’s $27! You can afford a really cute pair of shoes to go with it (if the weather allows…).
It’s a mini length with two layers and a mock neckline. I love the ruffles on the bell sleeves. This blush tone works well with black, but I plan on wearing my nude sandals in the spring and summer (totally not an option right now – the temps are in the 20s).
My bag goes with me just about everywhere. It has gorgeous classic quilting and a chain strap. I love the all black version, but there is a black version with a gold chain and even a full velvet style. If you want the cutest of bags, try this heart shaped one from Rebecca Minkoff.
As promised off Instagram, this is my playlist right now. Listening all.the.time and I highly recommend all the songs.

Choker Top + Fuzzy Coat
I feel like a total rocker in this look, which isn’t exactly what I was going for, but I embrace it and love it. It’s super comfortable but still on trend and the pieces will not break the bank. One of my favorite parts is every piece is so wearable – there are a lot of options for different looks with each item. My faux-leather leggings look great with oversized sweaters or tailored down with blouses. This choker top looks just as good with jeans. And this coat? THIS COAT. I didn’t take it off the first weekend I brought it home. It is low-stock, but I’ve linked lots of similar options below.Read More
