I really should have named this post ‘Thanksgiving Weekend Outfits,’ but we will go with Thanksgiving Day Outfits because the dinner is the main attraction. If you shop small on Saturday, have a friendsgiving get together, or just hang out with family the whole time, these looks are for you. I have mapped out casual to dressy, and all are comfortable and hide food babies. I think we can all high five (high ten) on that one. And the jewelry! Each piece is under $13, but totally statement worthy.
First up is casual and chic. Can we take a moment to admire the corset top jeans? And they are stretchy – so although corset isn’t something you want to hear with Thanksgiving, this denim is working with you. Velvet makes any look instantly luxe. It’s one of the most gorgeous fabrics, and lays beautifully. This black top with lace bell sleeves has a gathered bottom. It’s blousy, feminine and easily pairs with jeans. You can wear it throughout the season with faux leather leggings and pencil skirts. The blue velvet version has the prettiest bow details on the sleeves. I love it with denim, but you can also do black + blue and pair it with nice black trousers. I would pair either top with high waisted pants. I added booties because they have been my favorite shoe this season.
If you want to step up your look and go for a dress while keeping it comfortable, these looks are for you. This sweater dress with built in blouse and sweet tie is perfection (dare I say “pilgrim-y” – insert laughing emoji but I’m completely serious). I’ve paired it with the most party ready, yet classy heels I’ve ever laid eyes on. If you want to be more edgy, you can pair the dress with some booties. This maroon dress is one of my all time favorites. It has side ruching, which is super flattering. It comes in 5 colors + a sleeveless version if you live somewhere non-snowy. I love it with a leather moto and booties, plus some fancy ($12.99) earrings.
Now let’s go for gold with the prettiest dressed up pieces. This velvet jumpsuit is so luxe, but let’s be real – it’s about how it feels on – like pajamas. So you can basically have Thanksgiving IN YOUR PAJAMAS but look like a rockstar. You’re welcome. But moving on, this silk midi is gorgeous in an autumn hue with the lace bottom. Pair it with a lace cami and chenille (super soft) sweater, and I think you’re feeling cozy (pajama like again), but looking hot mama at the same time. The party heels go with either look, or wear some velvet mules if you will be running around the kitchen and dining room. These starburst earrings are $12.99 and the perfect sparkly addition. You can find the links to all the items pictured, and there is still time to get them before the big day! All that’s left is menu planning…
