Mixed Stripes

Peace out summer. I am so ready to wear fall coziness. Who is with me?? When I saw this sweater at one of my favorite stores, Evereve, I knew it was coming home with me. I love mixed stripes – taking the usual black and white and adding some color, and it’s a trend going into fall. It’s just more fun than the typical jailbird variety.

Not only is this sweater ridiculously cute, it’s also super soft, slightly oversized, and a beautiful knit. The muted tones are gorgeous – a rich mustard yellow, feminine rose pink, baby pink and light cloud gray. You can pair it with jeans, a midi skirt, or leggings. You can also dress it up with a suede skirt and over the knee boots.

If you haven’t tried a pair of Good American jeans, please do. The high rise, booty lifting, soft denim is too good to pass up. I have a pair of medium wash skinny jeans, and this slightly distressed lighter version. They fit like a glove and pair well with boots, mules, and sneakers. I added a fun barrette I found at Papersource of all places. Who knew they had cute hair accessories? It may be hard to tell, but this one is like Goldschlager solidified, and true story: my husband went into a local grocery to pick up some wine, and overhead a middle-aged couple trying to figure out if they had any Goldschlager at home. I thought that liquor was reserved for frats and frats only, but apparently not!

More trends for fall 2019: oversized blazers, plaid, sherpa fleece, vinyl shoes, snakeskin, all the animal prints, satin skirts + graphic tees, tie dye, peasant necklines, and knit two pieces, but if none of these speak to you, do your own thing!
