Mother’s Day Gift Guide

The most wonderful day of the year is right around the corner! My Mother’s Day Gift Guide is full of goodies (many I already own or on my list), and one additional option at the end + tips on DIY projects and options that aren’t typical. You can find links to everything as well. If all else fails, alone time (i.e. self care time) is an awesome gift and costs nothing at all. Let’s go through the list!

  1. Combining the tie dye trend with a flowy dress is pure genius. Love the beautiful pastels and adjustable cinching waistline. Can we agree that a flowy dress will come in handy post-quarantine. I don’t know about anyone else, but my body has definitely changed.

2. What mom doesn’t want a pair of dramatic slippers? Love the feather detail on these, and how they will be perfect all summer long (to wear with my mumu). They also come in all pink.

3. Horoscopes are entertaining, and who can resist some tidbits about their personality? Love these beautiful books, and how they can be displayed in a nightstand or on a coffee table, and brought out for some insightful fun.

4. I have this blanket and get really peeved everytime someone steals it or when it disappears from it’s designated spot (the couch). It’s super soft and snuggly, perfect for cuddles, plus it looks really luxe draped over your seating.

5. I am looking for anything and everything to make DIY manicures easier and fool-proof. This contraption looks amazing to keep the right amount of polish literally at your fingertips. Now if there was some magic potion for drying immediately, I’d be all set.

6. This is just about the prettiest little case for airpods. If you prefer a solid color, check out this one. I love this company, Rifle & Co., and think the lovely floral is perfect for Mother’s Day gifting. I am sure mom loves her airpods to drown out noise and escape into podcasts (Airpods sold separate).

7. Everyone is trying at home spa treatments. This facial in a bottle by Drunk Elephant exfoliates, which helps bring out a brighter complexion. It’s not a chemical peel, but it’s darn close and clean beauty. This brand is super popular and known for making amazing products.

8. I have this little contraption and LOVE IT. It’s meant for the tub, so this is the perfect gift for moms who love a good, warm, relaxing bath. It has places for wine, phones, tablets, books, candles, snacks, etc. I love to put my towel on the side. It’s made from water resistant bamboo and very sturdy. Pair this gift with alone time and wine.

9. Hands down favorite chair, ever. We have ours outside on the patio, but you can also use it indoors. It’s incredibly comfy and there’s room enough for two – for mom and kids, mom and hubs, or for mom and dogs. There are different cushion colors available. If it’s currently out of stock, just keep checking back because they restock (especially on Sundays).

10. How pretty are these? They are soap flowers – you can use them as a display, put in a soap dish, or add a few petals to a bath.

11. Love these sweet photo frames! You can add photos of kids, pets, or family, or create artwork or pretty flowers to press. Perfect for dish sink decor or a nightstand.

12. These pretty petals are actually butterfly puddlers – meant for butterflies to gather around. I had no idea such a thing existed. You fill the center of the flowers with little bit of sand and a pinch of salt, then pour water over until a puddle forms on the surface. As the water evaporates, it leaves behind valuable salts and minerals that butterflies need. Once butterflies know where to find these minerals, they’ll return regularly! Place them in a sunny spot around flowers.

13. Hanging planters make rooms happy. The colors are vibrant and cool, and it’s completely budget friendly. Just add a plant – succulents work great! You can also get a plain planter and have the kids paint as a fun activity.

14. This cool looking candle also smells cool with eucalyptus and santal. It would look great indoors or outdoors and every mom can use a little aromatherapy.

15. Love the word mama, and this script in gold is beyond pretty. It’s both casual and elegant at the same time. The delicate size makes it a perfect everyday jewelry piece.

16. The Tatcha lip mask makes lips ridiculously smooth. You can pat it on overnight or apply in the morning for instantly hydrated lips. It has a slight rosy hue, but it’s bare on the lips. The brand Tatcha is clean beauty at it’s best, and their lip product is ultra luxe. You can find it at Sephora, and do not be duped by look alikes on Amazon.

17. Love this simple, chic herb garden. Having fresh herbs like basil, oregano, and cilantro on hand is amazing. Speaking from experience, I usually forget to put them on the grocery list, so it’s such a benefit to have them growing in-house. This little set up will also provide some fresh, lovely scent. If gifting, pick up a few plants or seeds to go with it.

18. This ring is stunning! Love the different shape and color gems, and pretty tones. It’s another delicate beauty perfect for everyday.

19. This kit seems simple enough, and a fun activity to do with kids. Sunflowers are a hardy flower that are fairly easy to grow and the happy yellow brings joy! It’s a multifaceted gift – you get plant the seeds, watch it grow, and harvest the flowers. Love all the steps.

20. My favorite coffee/espresso maker! This espresso pot is for the stovetop. You simply add water, your favorite coffee, and listen to it boil. I have a tutorial here. You will also need this tool, a hand frother, to make a latte or cappuccino. I use this daily when I’m not pregnant or nursing! Love this sleek black model, but they come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. This one works on a gas or electric stove, but you’ll need a different model for induction. Don’t forget the frother and batteries!! Essential.

21. Love love love the design of this clock. It’s perfect for a mantle, nightstand or bookshelf.

22. For the yoga loving mama, a tie dye mat towel is perfect. Love the colors and wicking properties. Even if she has one, a new (clean, sweat free) blanket is an awesome gift.

23. Gimme all the Barefoot Dreams. These pants look heavenly, and since we are all in loungewear all. the. time. it makes an ideal gift. The cropped leg is great for spring and summer. If you haven’t felt Barefoot Dreams material, you need to. It’s the softest, coziest, most amazing fabric ever.

24. And some more loungewear options for you. Love the way these pants are elastic at both the waist and the ankle, and the happy pink print. Another great pair of pants for our current lifestyle status.

25. Such a chic brush holder! Would love this on my vanity. It’s feminine and pretty, and perfect for the make up mama.

26. Everyone can use some mercury retrograde protection. In astrology, it is thought that retrograde motion will have a negative effect. As the name suggests, retrograde is when a planet appears to go opposite in it’s orbit, but it’s actually an optical illusion. At any rate, it can throw things off, but hopefully burning this candle helps.

27. I have this honey bear in my pantry to hold my favorite honey. It looks beautiful on a counter as well, as a cute decoration. Every time you mom/grandma/sister/friend uses it, she’ll think of Mother’s Day.

28. Herbivore Coco Rose Body Polish will shine mama up pretty. It’s clean beauty with minimal ingredients made in the USA. I love that it is super hydrating with Moroccan rose, coconut oil, and sugar for baby soft skin.

29. A beautiful wildflowers print will make any room more joyful. It’s both artistic and pretty, and even educational. If the woman in your life loves flowers, especially wildflowers, this is a wonderful gift.

30. Another dress/cover up or loungewear piece. If I haven’t gotten my point across, it’s that comfort is key, and we will continue to embrace everything loungey over the summer. How can we go back to jeans now?! I mean, we will, but in the mean time, let’s make it a slow transition.
